Predominantly a flower painter working in fast, loose, expressive, highly colourful watercolour, which can verge

on semi-abstract/abstract. 

Free form colour is usually the start of a response piece where I am trying to encapsulate the emotional pull of the subject matter.

 

My other loves are life drawing and portraiture, predominantly in painterly charcoal, closely followed by landscape and seascape, in watercolour/mixed

media, which at times move towards the vestigial and abstract.'
